Job Summary

Responsible for warehouse and yard tasks in loading, unloading, pulling orders, shipping, truck-driving, returns, forklift driving, counter sales, customer service, and general roles working in all departments.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

-Perform tasks such as loading and unloading vehicles, stocking material, pulling, staging, and delivering orders -Move and organize material, such as pipe, valves, fittings, and pallets in storage areas, such as racks, shelves and yard.
-Receive purchase orders and ensure they are complete and accurate -Verify physical counts of stock
-Answer telephones and help customers at the Will Call Counter -Maintain clean work area, pick up trash, organize shelves, put material in the correct places, etc
-Learn about new products and help customers diagnose product needs
-Will drive pickup trucks and flat-bed trucks to deliver materials to specific locations and operate forklifts or other machinery in order to complete tasks
-Order products, arrange deliveries, contact and update customers regarding delivery and order status.
-Follow company safety policies and procedures and encourage other associates to do the same
-Perform any job that may be assigned as necessary to meet company, department or individual goals and objectives

Minimum Qualifications

-Must be eighteen years of age
-Must pass the Drug Test
-Must pass the Background Check
-Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable
-Must have good driving record/subject to Insurance approval
-Must be Drug Free, employer will conduct random drug screens -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment
-Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
Education and Experience
-HS Diploma or equal required. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

-Forklift experience
-Spanish Language Fluency
-Demonstrated success providing excellent customer service
-Strong communication skills with positive attitude -Experience using sales order computer software
-Knowledge of construction and industrial products
